Oregon vs. Colorado: Epic Clash of Titan

September 23, 2023 | By. UET

Oregon Ducks and Colorado Buffaloe

In this matchup, the winner will open the season 4-0 with a victory in league play, while the loser will suffer their first loss of the season.

Oregon is eyeing a 5-0 start and a showdown with Washington after the bye week. A loss could affect their College Football Playoff (CFP) hopes and Pac-12 title aspiration

Oregon boasts the best and most talented offense that Colorado has faced this season. Bo Nix leads the way as the best quarterback the Buffaloes have seen this year.

Shedeur Sanders has quickly established himself as one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the country, with great decision-making and explosive plays.

Oregon is one of only two teams yet to commit a turnover. Bo Nix is two completions away from becoming the third active player to reach 1,000 in his career. Steven Montez's 333 passing yards against Oregon in 2016 are the most by a Colorado QB against the Ducks.

Colorado's offensive line has allowed 16 sacks already, making it vulnerable. Oregon is generating more pass rush in the past two games.

However, the Ducks must also contain Shedeur Sanders, preventing him from extending plays. How Oregon handles this matchup will indicate their future success against Washington and USC.

Yet, I think actually our group simply needs to go out there and perform well every time they contact the field." — Dan Lanning

Oregon has won 29 straight games when scoring 40 or more points.
